My Account is your personal media content management system (CMS). This is where you can manage and edit all of the video and audio files that you upload, the playlists that you create, lists of your favorite items, groups, subscriptions and viewing history.
The My Account application is separate from but linked to the Media Portal and other applications that you’re assigned to so that when you upload a media item, you can publish it to one or more of those applications. If your organization only has a Media Portal, then your media items will be published to that application by default.
The My Account application doesn’t require the Media Portal for it to work as a CMS. Even without the Media Portal, you can still use the embed code to publish your media items to another destination, and you can also use the Public Page to share a link to the media item.
